| Taking a trip to Haiti is a tremendous opportunity, and for many a life-changing experience. New Life for Haiti is involved in projects that truly make life better in Haitian communities. | Trip Purpose |
| This team is taking photos and collecting information on children for the Child Sponsorship Program. Adding children to this popular program will help expand the educational opportunities available to the children of the Grande Anse River Valley. |
| Kinds of Work |
| This work trip will involve mainly administrative tasks. If you love kids, can take decent basic photos, and can enter information on a computer, this trip may be ideal for you. The trip is open to both men and women. |
| Team Leader |
| The Team Leader for this trip will be Fran Leeman. Fran is the founding pastor of LifeSpring Community Church in Plainfield, Illinois. He has led trips to Haiti numerous times over the years. | Trip Dates |
| The team will depart for Haiti on Tuesday, April 20th, 2010, and arrive back in the Midwest on Tuesday, April 27th. |
| Team Size |
| The team is limited to 8 people. Applicants from LifeSpring Community Church in Plainfield, Illinois will be given first consideration when applying to be a part of this team. |
| Trip Cost |
| The total cost of this trip will be between $1200 and $1600. The cost of this trip is estimated to be around $1200 if flying out of Chicago. If departing from another airport, this price will vary. You will also be responsible for covering the cost of meals en route, your overnight lodging in Port-au-Prince, souvenirs, and tips for the house staff in Marfranc. These costs, typically around $200, are not included in the estimated $1200 cost. You should plan on carrying cash in this amount with you on the trip to cover these additional expenses. If you need to raise money for your trip, some tips for doing that are included in the Trip Packet you will receive after you submit your application and are accepted for the trip. |

| You will need to have the remaining balance of your travel funds in to NLH 6 weeks before your trip departure date. This is so that we may purchase your airline ticket. Airline tickets will be purchased by our NLH Travel Coordinator (we do this so that everyone ends up on the proper flights together). |

| If you are under 18 years of age, you must obtain a parent or guardian’s permission to be considered for this trip. After you have completed the online trip application form, you will be presented with a printable version of the form that includes the information you provided as well as information for a parent or guardian to review and sign. You must print this application, obtain a parent or guardian’s signature, and mail it to New Life for Haiti, P.O. Box 33, Plainfield, IL 60544. |
