Planned Giving

Love the work New Life for Haiti does to help families and children? Want to make a lasting impact? A legacy commitment is an investment in Christ-centered, transformative work that will directly impact some of Haiti’s most vulnerable populations and transform the future for generations to come. Join New Life for Haiti on our quest to promote self-sufficiency and hope for a sustainable future by making a bequest and put New Life for Haiti in your will.

Ways to Give

A gift in your will

Whether you designate a specific amount or leave a percentage of your estate, your legacy gift will empower New Life for Haiti’s work. Just let your attorney know you’d like to include New Life for Haiti in your will. See below for sample language. If you are more of a DIY person, consider using a free source like freewill.com.

A Sample Bequest

I hereby give, devise, and bequeath to New Life for Haiti, or its successors in interest, with offices at 14735 Wood Farm Road, Plainfield, IL 60544, Federal ID #26-2011573, the sum of $__________ (amount written out), exclusive of my lifetime donations, if any, to be used for New Life for Haiti’s most urgent priorities as determined by its board of directors in their sole discretion.

Noncash assets

Donating certain noncash assets like real estate can provide significant tax benefits while advancing our mission.

Beneficiary designations

Your retirement plans, life insurance policies, and annuities can all bring hope for a sustainable future to communities in need.

Qualified charitable distributions

You can also put your gifts to work right away when you give from your IRA, stock portfolio, or through a donor-advised fund (DAF). If you are seventy-two or older, you can give up to $100,000 per year from your IRA, allowing you to exclude the amount of your RMD from your income, even if you don’t itemize your taxes each year. Give us a call at (815) 922-0941 or send an email to David.Larson@newlifeforhaiti.org for more information on these types of gifts.

Whether making arrangements for the future of giving today, your generosity provides hope for a sustainable future.
