Though New Life for Haiti works in the Grand Anse River valley, access to clean water is difficult to come by. Some families walk hours each day to collect drinking water from the Grand Anse River—where others bring their livestock to bathe and their laundry to clean.
New Life for Haiti’s dream is to equip every community we serve with a sustainable clean water source. We collaborate with local community leaders to determine what system would best provide for specific villages. Solutions include wells, cisterns, and water bucket filtration systems.
When we implement a new clean water initiative, we employ all local Haitian workers, investing in the economy and local talent.
